Interior Design and Metropolis Trade Show Product Video Guidelines
Learn how to prepare for your trade show product video with best practices on content guidelines and submission requirements.
After your media plan or contract is finalized, our project management team will create an intake form for your video and email you a due date along with upload instructions. Trade show product videos highlight a single product or collection through a short interview with one brand representative, paired with b-roll captured on site by the Interior Design and Metropolis video production team.

📑 Assets required for your intake form
To complete your intake form, the following assets and information are needed:

Goals: press release, product sheet, and/or 3-4 key talking points for the product or collection

Image(s): minimum of one image for DESIGNTV thumbnail use, additional imagery may be included if available

On-camera representative: one on-camera personality (name, title, and email address for scheduling)

Location: booth or showroom location within the trade show
🖼️ What you need to know about image quality
Images are used for cutaways, b-roll, and social promotion. As a best practice, high-resolution, clean images without any copy or branding are requested. Please remove logos, text overlays, and watermarks. Images should be professionally shot, showcasing lifestyle or room settings, architectural features, or product details.

🔗 Guidelines regarding content and scheduling
After receiving your intake form, our video production manager will email interview questions and scheduling details. Interviews are conversational and lightly moderated. There is no pre-call or memorization required prior to filming.
The shoot will take 30-45 minutes to complete the interview (10-15 min) and b-roll capture (20-30 min). When preparing for your video, please keep in mind the final 60-90 second length. We find this to be the most impactful duration for this product type across all platforms.

Your trade show product video lives on the DESIGNTV website for 1 year. Additionally, DESIGNTV will actively promote your segment through either the Interior Design or Metropolis social media platforms to ensure it meets its guaranteed KPI. Following campaign completion, your Client Strategist or Sales Director will provide performance reporting.
