Interior Design and Metropolis Trade Show Preview Video Guidelines

Learn how to prepare for your trade show preview video with best practices on content guidelines and submission requirements.

After your media plan or contract is finalized, our project management team will create an intake form for your video and email you a due date along with upload instructions. Showroom previews are b-roll only videos set to music giving viewers a 60 second overview of the design of your showroom and the products featured throughout, all with a quick edit turnaround (24-48hrs).

📑 Assets required for your intake form

To complete your intake form, the following assets and information are needed:

  • Aspects of your booth/space/showroom you would like to specifically highlight

  • Image(s): minimum of one image for DESIGNTV thumbnail use, additional imagery may be included if available

  • Location: booth or showroom location within the trade show

🖼️ What you need to know about image quality

Images are used for cutaways, b-roll, and social promotion. As a best practice, high-resolution, clean images without any copy or branding are requested. Please remove logos, text overlays, and watermarks. Images should be professionally shot, showcasing lifestyle or room settings, architectural features, or product details.

Image Specifications:

  • Image Resolution: 3840x2160px or higher, horizontal orientation preferred

  • Preferred File Types: png, jpg, tiff

🔗 Guidelines regarding content and scheduling

After receiving your intake form, our video production manager will email scheduling details. There is no pre-call required prior to filming. The shoot will consist of 45 minutes of b-roll capture. Please make sure your booth or showroom is camera-ready at the scheduled time.

📈 Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and reporting

Impressions: 50k+ social media plays

Your trade show preview video lives on the DESIGNTV website for 1 year. Additionally, DESIGNTV will actively promote your segment through either the Interior Design or Metropolis social media platforms to ensure it meets its guaranteed KPI. Following campaign completion, your Client Strategist or Sales Director will provide performance reporting.
