Interior Design and Metropolis DESIGNTV Interview Guidelines
Learn how to prepare for DESIGNTV interviews with best practices on image quality, content guidelines, and submission requirements.
After your media plan or contract is finalized, our project management team will create an intake form for your video and email you a due date along with upload instructions. DESIGNTV interviews are remotely recorded conversations produced by our in-house video team in collaboration with Interior Design or Metropolis. Topics should focus on a theme that is relevant, informative, and engaging for the respective audience.

📑 Assets required for your intake form
Your responses in the intake form will guide the content and interview questions developed in advance. To complete the submission form, the following assets and information are needed:

Topic to be discussed in the video (product, collection, initiative, etc.)

Key talking points (3-4)

Press release and/or reference materials, as applicable to your video content

Images: a minimum of 10 images without copy or branding

Video: relevant video footage if available

On-camera rep: name, title, and email address for calendar invitation

Any set premiere or social dates (if applicable)
🖼️ What you need to know about image quality
Images are used for cutaways, b-roll, and social promotion. As a best practice, high-resolution, clean images without any copy or branding are requested. Please remove logos, text overlays, and watermarks. Images should be professionally shot, showcasing lifestyle or room settings, architectural features, or product details.

🔗 Guidelines regarding content and scheduling
Interior Design or Metropolis editors review the submitted intake form and draft interview questions to ensure the content remains clear and concise. Interview questions will be provided in advance. Editing is handled by DESIGNTV with an estimated length of 10 minutes.
Your on-camera representative should be comfortable speaking on camera and available for a 20-minute recording session. The recording will be moderated live by our team. There is no pre-call, memorization or script required, and retakes are possible if needed.

Recording Platform:
We use Riverside.fm for all remote interviews, the recording will take no more than 20 minutes to complete. When selecting a recording location, please consider your connectivity, lighting, and audio in advance to ensure time for troubleshooting. Riverside.fm works best in Google Chrome. Please choose a quiet, well-lit space and use headphones or earbuds if available to reduce echo. While guests may join from a laptop or phone, an iPhone is strongly recommended for optimal video quality.
📈 Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and reporting
Impressions: 50k+ social media plays
Your interview lives on the DESIGNTV platform for 1 year. Additionally, DESIGNTV will actively promote your segment through either the Interior Design or Metropolis social media platform to ensure it meets its guaranteed KPI. Following campaign completion, your Client Strategist or Sales Director will provide performance reporting.
